VAS -Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
(Awareness Training)

Failure Modes Effects and Analysis (FMEA) is a specialized methodology to assess the risks associated with in various processes of the organization and necessary actions to mitigate the failure modes. FMEA is applicable to a component, subsystem or system initiated from design stage to the end of the manufacture of the product (Subassembly or Assembly)

Failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) is a step-by-step approach for identifying all possible failures in a design, a manufacturing or assembly process, or a product or service. Failures are prioritized according to how serious their consequences are, how frequently they occur and how easily they can be detected. The purpose of the FMEA is to take actions to eliminate or reduce failures, starting with the highest-priority ones. Failure modes and effects analysis also documents current knowledge and actions about the risks of failures, for use in continuous improvement. FMEA is used during design to prevent failures. Later it’s used for control, before and during ongoing operation of the process. Personnel working on FMEA or its supporting functions are required to undergo periodical training to avoid or mitigate the adverse effects followed by necessary corrective actions

Benefits of the training course

  • Developing control plans for new and modified processes
  • Analyze the failures of existing processes, products and services
  • Prevents production cost, time and loses due to pre-analysis
  • After QFD helps to design or redesign process, product or service
  • Promotes safe work environment during production
  • Able to trace the product or process viability and feasibility
  • Capable to perceive the post design performances

Course Duration (Days) :  01
